The Regent’s Park: The Best Park Endowed with Diverse Natural Attractions in London

There is nothing more pleasurable than lazing around or sitting leisurely in a beautiful park at the weekend.  It’s no secret that The Regent’s Park has so much to offer to tourists in London. There are gardens, a natural world, ponds, playgrounds etc.                  

Situated just north of the Marylebone neighbourhood, it sits just further than the well-known Baker Street and is reachable by means of several underground stops. For entering the park, you have to take an exquisite walk through the Broad Walk. The area is bordered by the Avenue Gardens, which is a fantastically created formal garden consisting of decorative flowers and foliage and exquisite fountains.  The showpiece is called the Griffin Taza.

The garden although not the largest in the capital city is a paradise for flower lovers. You will find Queen Mary's Gardens on the east which encompasses 12,000 roses that blossom every June. in the south lies the Japanese Garden Island, and to the north sit the Triton and Dryads Fountain and the Regent's Park Open Air Theater, You can spot a Lake for boating in the west, where visitors can hire rowboats or pedal boats. The lake is filled with ducks swimming, playing and splashing the water.

The biggest attraction of the park is the zoo which is situated in the northeastern area. The ZSL London Zoo was set up in 1828 and presently it is home to 750 species of animals including lions, zebras, gorillas, penguins, giraffes, and hedgehogs which will offer you an immersive experience. The playgrounds in the park needs special mentioning. It features playing areas for children and games equipment. The Gloucester Gate playground is adventurous that features a zipline and a wall of 50 meters to climb on. There are also areas for aquatic games.

Primrose Hill, precisely its own park, is an expansion of The Regent's Park, located on the other area of Prince Albert Road from the zoo. It forms an outstanding vantage point for looking at the city from below, and the trees in the region at an elevation of the 63-meter are kept tidy to facilitate views with no obstruction. The peak is also home to Shakespeare's Tree.
